Our FREC courses are ran at our custom built Education Academy completed in 2020 which is part of a working Front line Ambulance station. The course has access to Emergency Ambulances, an Ambulance Simulator, A fully furnished Simulation apartment, an indoor RTC training area and the very best education equipment there is. All our courses taught by highly qualified and experienced professional tutors who continue to work on front line ambulances or in other roles of emergency care.

QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF)

 

The QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) also forms part of a progressive suite of Pre-hospital care qualifications that lead to the QA Level 6 Diploma in Paramedic Practice (RQF).

 

Endorsed by The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care – The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and fulfilling the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, this fantastic qualification is perfect for a range of roles in emergency care, such as: Ambulance Care Assistant (PTS), Community First Responder or Event First Responder and more.

 

Intended Audience

 

The QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification specifically designed for those seeking a career in the emergency services, ambulance service, the event and security medical sector or those who work in high risk workplaces.

 

Course Overview

 

Over a 5 day period, Learners will gain the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to deal with a range of Pre-hospital care emergencies, such as: managing a patient’s airways, catastrophic bleeding, management of fractures, medical emergencies and more.

 

Assessment Methods

 

13 x Practical assessments, 3 x Theory assessments (Multiple Choice Question Papers) and 4 x Skills tests.

QA Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF)

 

As the next step for those who have completed the QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF), this qualification provides Learners with a wider scope of practice in Pre-hospital care emergencies, allowing for greater employment opportunities. It also forms part of a progressive suite of Pre-hospital care qualifications that lead to the QA Level 6 Diploma in Paramedic Practice (RQF).

 

Intended Audience

 

The QA Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised Pre-hospital care qualification specifically designed for those looking to progress their career within the NHS or Independent ambulance services as an Emergency Care Assistant (ECA, ECSW, EAC) or event medical provider. It is also ideal for those who are looking to work within specialist roles in the military, police and fire services.

 

Course Overview

 

Fulfilling the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level E, this fantastic qualification provides Learners with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to be able to deal with a wide range of Pre-hospital care emergencies, such as: major incidents, fracture immobilisation, sick and injured children, mental health problems and more.

FUTUREQUALS LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN EMERGENCY RESPONSE AMBULANCE DRIVING (CERAD)

 

 

 

 

This FutureQuals awarded Level 3 CERAD – Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (Delivered in association with EMSTAR) has been developed to meet the core requirements of NHS Ambulance Trusts and Independent Ambulance providers for learners working or intending to work as emergency ambulance clinical practitioners and emergency care support staff. This qualification meets the requirement for ambulance service drivers to claim exemptions under the road traffic act and to operate to the specification of the high speed driver training regulations of the Department for Transport.

 

This DTAG approved qualification has been designed with extensive input from Ambulance Services. The requirement for competency is driving underpinned by knowledge of legislation but also the requirement for competency in safe response to emergency calls and the safe conveyance of patients to the definitive place of care.

 

This is a 4 week course with a 1:3 Instructor/Student ratio and uses a variety of modern Ambulance Blue Light vehicles from the extensive Polaris Fleet.

 

You will need a valid UK B Category driving licence and be 18 years or older. (A C1 Category licence is not necessary for our course)
