FAQ LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN EMERGENCY RESPONSE AMBULANCE DRIVING (CERAD)

 

 

 

 

 

This FutureQuals awarded Level 3 CERAD – Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving has been developed to meet the core requirements of NHS Ambulance Trusts and Independent Ambulance providers for learners working or intending to work as emergency ambulance clinical practitioners and emergency care support staff. This qualification meets the requirement for ambulance service drivers to claim exemptions under the road traffic act and to operate to the specification of the high speed driver training regulations of the Department for Transport.

 

This DTAG approved qualification has been designed with extensive input from Ambulance Services. The requirement for competency is driving underpinned by knowledge of legislation but also the requirement for competency in safe response to emergency calls and the safe conveyance of patients to the definitive place of care.

 

This is a 4 week course Monday to Friday 0800-1630 with a 1:3 Instructor/Student ratio.

 

You will need a valid UK B or B & C1 Category driving licence for over a year and be 18 years or older. (We run both B and C1 custom converted Driver Training Units)

FAQ LEVEL 3 AWARD IN PATIENT CARE SERVICES: AMBULANCE DRIVING (APCSAD)

 

 

The purpose of the FAQ Level 3 Award in Patient Care Services: Ambulance Driving is to provide the learner with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to drive a range of patient care ambulance vehicles safely and commensurate with patient comfort and vehicle empathy. It is now a requirement for some PCS contracts.

 

The FAQ Level 3 Award in Patient Care Services: Ambulance Driving can support progression on to the FAQ Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving.

 

This is a 1 week course Monday to Friday 0800-1630 with a 1:3 Instructor/Student ratio.

 

You will need a valid UK B or B & C1 Category driving licence for over a year and be 18 years or older. (We run both B and C1 custom converted Driver Training Units)
